Marina Maschek

Marina (she/her) is a German interdisciplinary researcher and textile artist who approaches her work as a collaborative process. Her work investigates community building, modes of communication, and cultural tradition, centring on the question of how we can create common and alternative forms of identity.

Combining an academic approach of literary analysis and ethnography, research stands at the starting point of her work. From there, she uses participatory and collaborative methods to translate the research into artistic expressions and open it to broader audiences. Through workshops and open ateliers involving textiles, collage, and mixed media, her artistic process becomes a moment of collective intervention and community building.
